Vedalam is the Ajith’s Diwali gift to his fans, this movie released on November 10, 2015. It is directed by directed by Siva and Produced by S. Aishwarya. It is featured with Ajith Kumar, Shruti Haasan, Lakshmi Menon, Aniket Chouhan, Kabir Singh in the main roles, Film makers kept huge expectations on this movie, after the teaser release in this month which received a huge response from the audience. It is clashing with other release of the Diwali Kamal’s Thoongavanam movie at the box office and also Akhil who marked the debut with this movie, it has got dull advanced booking but managed the box office on the first day of the release.

It has done superb pre-release business after collecting Rs 35 Cr.For the First time Tamil movie is releasing in Poland, Before the release it grossed Rs 17 Cr for advanced booking. US Shows are expected to $150K+.
Definetly it is a biggest mass entertainer for Aith fans for this Diwali, This ganster collected nearly Rs 15.5 Crore on first day in Tamil Nadu, Trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai confirmed, “#Vedalam TN – Gross (tax free), Diwali Day – 10 Nov – Rs 15.5 Cr (approximate). A new record for a day 1.” It crossed the records of Rajnikanth’s Lingaa movie which raised up to Rs 12.5 Cr on the opening day of the movie. Vedalam movie released over 520 screens on the first day in Tamil Nadu state itself.
Earlier it was estimated it would raise up to Rs 14-16 Cr, hope it reached the expectations of trade analysts. On the other hand Kamal Haasan’s Thoongavanam 800 screens across the world.
